Wireless sound level meter – INFRA C50

The INFRA C50 is a new generation of permanent noise monitoring station. Based on a Class 1 sound level meter with a robust MEMS microphone system, this noise station is designed for continuous environmental monitoring.

Technical Features

Sound level meter: IEC 61672–1:2013 Class 1 (approval pending)

Data type: Two measurement ranges:

  • 31 dB – 132 dB (lower power
    consumption)
  • 26 dB – 123 dB.

Measurement ranges: Frequency range: 10 Hz – 20,000 Hz.

Measurement frequency: Adjustable interval between 1 s and 1 h.

Network: The system includes 4G wireless communication with 3G/2G fallback.

Transmission frequency: Data files are saved to the memory card before being sent at the next cellular communication. If the point of communication is unavailable, data is stored for later transfer.

Power supply: The C50 uses internal rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that can be swapped or charged during operation. As standard, it is supplied with a waterproof external power supply.

Battery life: Up to 6 weeks of
operation.

Dimensions: 650 mm x 99 mm x 95 mm
(25.6 x 4.0 x 3.7 in).

Weight: 2.7 kg (5.9 lb) without batteries.
With batteries included: 3.55 kg (7.8 lb).

Weatherproofing: The waterproof housing protects the C50 noise monitoring station from extreme weather while meeting Class 1 metrological accuracy requirements. IP 65 protection rating.

Mounting method and conditions: The C50 can be easily fixed to tripod or wall-mount supports using its 1/4” threaded plate. Quick-release mast
accessories can also be used.

Technical Requirements and Maintenance

Maintenance: Calibration is recommended every year, and laboratory calibration every 2 years.
